Within the framework of a realization competition, the city of Monheim was looking for a concept for the new construction of an elementary school “Im Pfingsterfeld” with a sports hall. The new school building is to have twelve classrooms and group rooms as well as four central cluster areas. The goal of the design is to create a school building that provides teachers and learners with an environment that is inspiring and conducive to learning. At the same time, all contemporary requirements in terms of sustainability and resource conservation are met.
